The Grenoble-based company BGenea specialist in the development of synthetic biology bioprocesses, and Miyoshi Europea European subsidiary of the Japanese Miyoshi Kasei group, experts in pigment processing and optimization, announce a strategic partnership to develop and market natural, bio-based ingredients for the cosmetics market.
BGene will mobilize its skills in bioinformatics and biotechnology to identify, design and produce innovative biobased ingredients. Miyoshi Europe will leverage its formulation and industrialization know-how to integrate these new ingredients into solutions tailored to the requirements of cosmetics manufacturers, in the fields of skincare, make-up and suncare products.
The two partners' stated objectives are to replace conventional functional ingredients with alternatives of natural origin, while guaranteeing at least equivalent performance at a competitive price. The aim is to offer innovative solutions that respond to the market's essential triptych: quality, naturalness and accessibility.
Innovation and cost control
Faced with natural alternatives that are often costly, BGene and Miyoshi Europe are committed to developing competitive solutions that combine reduced environmental impact with cost control to facilitate their widespread adoption.
"This strategic partnership will enable us to accelerate the development of accessible, high-performance bio-based solutions that meet the expectations of manufacturers and consumers alike, says François Durin, General Manager of BGene.
Guillaume Boutserin, CEO of Miyoshi Europe adds: "We are committed to supporting the industry's transition to more sustainable formulas, without compromising either performance or price. This collaboration with BGene opens up exciting new prospects for us."
